Armament Systems and Procedures (ASP) has selected Concerns Of Police Survivors (C.O.P.S.) as its charity of choice.
Michael Hess, ASP’s Vice President of Marketing, says that C.O.P.S was a natural fit: “For nearly fifty years, we have had a single-minded focus on providing law enforcement officers with the best tools for the safe performance of their duties, and industry-leading, tuition-free training in the use of those tools,” he says. “C.O.P.S. shares our absolute devotion to the law enforcement community, and to the wellbeing of officers and their families.”
Hess says his company will raise money for C.O.P.S. through donations collected on the ASP website, matching fund events, portion-of-product sales programs and other activities. The funds raised from this partnership will support C.O.P.S. Survivor Weekends, Law Enforcement Conferences and Trainings, National Police Week, and more. The weekends and trainings are provided at no cost to survivors, as the price they have paid is already too high.
“C.O.P.S. appreciates the generosity of ASP, as they continue to provide equipment and training that put the safety of our peacekeepers at the forefront,” says Sara Slone, C.O.P.S. Outreach Director. “And if the ultimate sacrifice should be made, C.O.P.S. will be there to help the families and co-workers left behind. ASP is now helping to ensure that happens for as long as survivors need us.”
C.O.P.S. is a nationwide not-for-profit organization with 54 chapters across the country, assisting survivors at the grassroots level. Members of C.O.P.S. are always prepared to help survivors when they need it, where they need it.
