Springfield Armory Announces $25,000 Donation To NSSF’s Protect Liberty PAC

Springfield Armory® is proud to announce that CEO and owner Dennis Reese has donated $25,000 to the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF) Protect Liberty political action committee (PAC). This is intended to help elect pro-gun candidates on Election Day 2024, which is just three weeks away.

This financial support by Mr. Reese will support the NSSF in its efforts to elect candidates dedicated to preserving and protecting liberty, freedom and the Constitutional rights of all Americans, especially our Second Amendment rights. Unfortunately, these are under constant attack by Vice President Kamala Harris, the Democratic nominee for president.

“We’re approaching that critical time where it becomes too late to contribute to this fight and help ensure our liberties and freedoms are protected and fought for by elected leaders that revere and value our Constitutional rights,” said Springfield Armory’s Dennis Reese. “Springfield Armory was not going to be left standing on the sidelines. We proudly support the NSSF’s Protect Liberty PAC, and I urge all our industry members to do what they can to join the fight against what will be the most anti-Second Amendment administration in history, even more so than the current one. No contribution is too small to have a positive impact before Election Day.”

Protect Liberty PAC is a federally registered “super PAC” founded by NSSF. It is an independent-expenditure-only political committee and can accept unlimited personal and corporate contributions from companies in or outside of the industry. Protect Liberty PAC will expressly advocate for the election or defeat of specific candidates, and that advocacy will be completely independent of any candidate or political party.

“We’re seeing more evidence that a President Kamala Harris and Democratic majorities in Congress would be devastating to law-abiding Americans who value their Constitutional rights — especially their right to keep and bear arms. This nominee supports gun confiscation and would eliminate legal protections against frivolous lawsuits aimed at bankrupting our industry. Springfield Armory understands the time to act is now to ensure none of that happens, and we’re grateful for Dennis’ leadership and contribution,” said Lawrence G. Keane, Protect Liberty PAC’s Treasurer. “There are just three weeks until Election Day, and we urge all businesses in the firearm, ammunition, hunting, recreational and shooting sports industry, and all concerned gun owners, to stand with Springfield Armory and support Protect Liberty PAC.”
