Safe LivinG is excited to announce its stop at the Army & Air Force Exchange Service (the Exchange) location at Fort Cavazos, Texas, April 4-5, 2025. Safe LivinG offers attendees a unique opportunity to engage in various activities centered around personal security and firearm safety.
Since 1895, the Exchange has provided goods and services to the U.S. Army, Air Force and Space Force installations worldwide. It is the 52nd largest retailer in the United States, providing valued goods and services at exclusive military pricing for soldiers, airmen, guardians and their families. 100% of the Exchange earnings go to support military communities.
“As a retired Department of the Army Civilian, former Army Family Readiness Officer, spouse of a retired U.S Marine and parent of a current serving U.S. Army Officer, I am so excited to announce our stop at the Exchange in Fort Cavazos,” said Karen Butler, president of SLG2, Inc. “Our partnership with the Exchange means a lot to our organization. At this stop, we seek to empower our military and their families through this unique experience.”
Guests at firearm safety events at the Exchange can participate in outdoor demonstrations, including binocular and turkey call activities and the MAGPUL DAKA Grid system. There are also opportunities to review firearms from top manufacturers and learn about the importance of responsible firearm handling and safe storage. Safe LivinG aims to raise awareness about self-defense tools, such as SABRE pepper spray, through interactive demonstrations. The organization encourages families to bring their children along for a dedicated firearm safety discussion tailored specifically for young attendees.
Guests aged 18 and older can handle and shoot handguns and long guns using a state-of-the-art mobile Firearms Training Systems (FATS) by InVeris range guided by knowledgeable female instructors. The simulator provides immediate recoil, impact and sound feedback, creating an immersive experience that builds confidence.
The Safe LivinG experience will be stationed at Fort Cavazos on Friday, April 4 and Saturday, April 5 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Both new and experienced shooters, along with their families, are invited to attend this exciting event.
