The Double D Foundation is proud to announce Pete Brownell, Chairman of Brownells and 2nd Adventure Group, as the recipient of its 2026 Patriot Award. Brownell was recognized during the Foundation's Annual Georgia Banquet on October 15 in Black Creek, Georgia.
The Patriot Award recognizes individuals whose leadership, character, and commitment to service exemplify the Foundation's guiding principle, "Honor God. Defend Freedom." The award honors those who have demonstrated an enduring dedication to protecting the Second Amendment, expanding participation in shooting sports, and strengthening the communities that support these freedoms.

A third-generation owner of Brownells, Pete has helped shape one of the firearms industry's most respected companies, guiding its transformation from a traditional catalog business into a leading e-commerce enterprise. His influence extends well beyond Brownells, having served as President of the National Rifle Association, Chairman of the National Association of Sporting Goods Wholesalers, and in numerous civic, corporate, and nonprofit leadership roles.

Earlier this year, Brownells further strengthened its support of The Double D Foundation when the Brownells Foundation joined the organization's Corporate Partners Program.
