The Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation opened a new shooting range at Copan Wildlife Management Area, 13 miles north of Bartlesville. The facility features 50-yard pistol and 100-yard rifle ranges, archery facilities, and ADA access. Funding came from the Wildlife Restoration Program, National Rifle Association's Public Range Fund, and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.

The National Rifle Association of America (NRA) announces the reopening of the NRA's Public Range Fund. Established in 2009, the NRA Public Range Fund is a grant-matching program that encourages city and county governments, along with state or federal agencies, to work with the NRA to build and improve public ranges across the United States.

Both chambers of the Wyoming legislature moved decisively to allow for the debate, amendment and final passage of authorization to move forward on the Wyoming State Shooting Sports Complex – to be built in Cody, Wyoming.

The fix is budget neutral – targeting only a pre-existing source from 2023 authorizing legislation - potentially closing the legislative process for Wyoming Shooting Sports Complex on a high note.

A recent agreement between University of the Ozarks and the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission has launched the public phase of a fundraising campaign by the university to build an Olympic-level shooting sports facility in Clarksville. Under the agreement, the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission will donate $2 million in matching funds to the project and the university will raise the remaining cost of the project.
